Ubisoft’s upcoming pirate adventure, Skull & Bones, is currently being adapted for television, ahead of the game’s planned Xbox One, PS4, and PC release later this year.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Ubisoft has teamed up with production company Atlas Entertainment (responsible for the 12 Monkeys TV show) to create Skull & Bones for television. The series is said to be a “female-driven drama set in the lawless frontier of the Indian Ocean at the end of the golden age of piracy in the 1700s”.
Regrettably, that’s all the information there is on Skull & Bones’ planned journey to television right now, and there’s no indication of when Ubisoft hopes to see the show released. Skull & Bones the game, however, is currently anticipated to launch some time this year, following its delay out of 2018 – a decision made, according to creative director Justin Farren, to “deliver the ultimate pirate game set to thrill players at launch and for years to come”.
