Star Wars Battlefront 2 is getting a brand-new mode next week, March 26th, mixing ground battles with taught close-quarters combat as teams run the gauntlet through the interior of a capital ship.
Known as Capital Supremacy, the new is described as “an immersive, Clone Wars-era authentic experience” that pits two teams of 20, in the role of either the Galactic Republic or the Separatists, against each other, aided by 12 AI-controlled troopers on each side.
Playing out in a similar fashion to Battlefield 2142’s Titan Mode, Capital Supremacy unfolds over two phases. The first is “non-linear” ground battle (appropriately called the Ground Phase) that sees participants utilising “a wide array of tactics, trooper classes, land vehicles, reinforcement units, and hero characters to attack and defend different areas across the surface”.
