Those eager to don helmets and slip into the shiny metal suit of Marvel super hero justice following Sony’s unveiling of Iron Man VR for PS4 back in March, now have a date for their diaries; it’ll be honking thrusters and quipping into the ether on 8th February next year.
Iron Man VR, as you might well imagine, casts players as playboy billionaire Tony Stark, setting them loose in a virtual reality adventure that predominantly appears to involve swooping through the air and pulverising anything that tries to get in the way.
Iconic allies and super villains are promised, but the core of the story sees Stark engaging in a battle of wits and fists with hacker and anti-corporate activist, Ghost. “In her efforts to topple his empire, Ghost attacks Stark’s corporate locations around the world,” Sony explains, “leading to ever-escalating stakes and a final showdown.”
