Working in collaboration with the Realismus Modding group, our team here at Giants is delighted to bring the Seasons mod to PlayStation 4 tomorrow, giving a fresh twist to the Farming Simulator 19 experience.

This mod overhauls several core systems, with an emphasis on realism and making winter, spring, summer, and fall come alive, both visually and in terms of gameplay. Below you can get a brief overview of what the mod changes.

  • Visuals and audio that reflect the season
  • Enhanced weather system
  • Improved growth system
  • Rebalanced economy
  • New animal system
  • Detailed weather forecast
  • Rotation planner for crops

Just like in real life, farmers will have to adapt to seasonal changes as well as predict the weather. With three distinct phases for each season, and several new kinds of weather events, every year will bring unique challenges and rewards, due to the way it impacts crop growth. You will need to keep your eye on the new and improved weather forecast and plan accordingly, but as you know, predicting the weather is an uncertain science, so you should be wary of putting all your eggs in one basket.

Several new animal breeds have been introduced, adding more complexity and choice to how you manage your animals. As age, weight, and gender are simulated, the type of feed you give them has a huge impact. Animal health is imperative to a well-run and profitable farm.

Knowing that mods have traditionally been a mainly PC thing, we’re super excited to be working with Realismus Modding and others to bring mods like this to PS4. So far, Farming Simulator has seen 1200 mod uploads and more than 268 million mod downloads across all platforms, and with access to modding tutorials, the future of Farming Simulator community content just keeps improving. Starting tomorrow, expect snowy winters and warm summers!

Before jumping into the Seasons mod, we advise you to start a new game to avoid any errors or corrupting your current progress.
