Stardew Valley creator Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone says the celebrated farm-life sim’s mammoth 1.5 update has finally been submitted for console certification, and will hopefully release “late this month or early next month”.
Barone delighted Stardew Valley fans on PC with a surprise pre-Christmas launch for the game’s long-teased 1.5 update at the tail-end of last year, and console players have been eagerly awaiting its arrival on their platform of choice ever since.
That excitement is entirely understandable; Stardew Valley’s 1.5 release is another enormous update for the beloved game, introducing a raft of new features including local split-screen co-op, a new beach-themed farm layout, late-game home renovations, new characters and events, new music, “remixed” game options, and more.
