Final Fantasy 7 Remake maker Square Enix has warned that physical copies of the game will likely be delayed in some places by the current coronavirus crisis.
In a message to fans posted last night on the game’s Twitter, Square Enix said that while the game itself would not be delayed from its 10th April worldwide release date, the distribution of boxed copies would likely be impacted.
“The worldwide release of Final Fantasy 7 Remake on 10th April will go ahead,” Square Enix wrote. “However, with the unforeseeable changes in the distribution and retail landscape which varies across countries, it is increasingly likely that some of you will not get hold of your copy of the game on the release date.
