Square Enix has issued a patch for Final Fantasy 7 on Nintendo Switch and Xbox One that finally fixes a music bug that’s plagued the game across multiple platforms for years.
An annoying looping music glitch that caused background music to restart after the end of each battle was present in prior ports of Final Fantasy 7, and, remarkably, resurfaced when the epic Japanese role-playing game was recently launched on Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
It meant you’d only ever hear the first 10 seconds or so of the background music while out and about on the overworld. This is a problem, given the game’s wonderful music includes tracks a few minutes long.
