Souls-y sci-fi sequel The Surge 2 will be heading to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on 24th September, developer Deck 13 has revealed.
The Surge 2, as you might reasonably expect, aims to expand on its predecessor’s solid action-RPG template, with Deck 13 calling its enhanced limb-targeting combat system “more brutal and tactical than ever”. There’s also promise of more weapons, abilities, implants, and drones for a broader array of combat options.
Perhaps more significantly, The Surge 2 ditches the same-y office corridors of its forebear in favour of a derelict urban sprawl known as Jericho City. Deck 13 says to expect “more ambitious level design” as a result, and there’s a small taste of things to come in the trailer below.
